Persistence “Road of Life”

My photographs are involved around collaboration with Ukrainian families who have fought refuge in England due to the devastating impacts of war. These families, each bearing a unique narrative, have begun on a traumatic journey to find comfort and security in an unfamiliar country. Through my work, I work to shed light on their stories, presenting a collection of portraits that outline not only the families as a whole but also the unbeatable of individuals who have fled their homeland.

In capturing these tearful moments, I show the power of imagery with the voices of those affected, incorporating interviews that amplify their experiences. I also incorporate archival images that span the period leading up to and during the war, offering glimpses into their cherished memories of home. This mixture of visuals serves as an evidence to their Strength and serves to provide a platform for their narratives during these trying times.

My photographic pursuit is fueled by a firm hope for peace and resolution. It is my aspiration that through the portraits of these Ukrainian families and their determination, viewers will be able to acknowledge the urgency to stop the war's destructive path. By shedding light on the human side of conflict and displacement, my photography aims to foster empathy, understanding, and action, ultimately contributing to the collective efforts of building a more peaceful world.
